As we get older the joints in our body can change. Osteoarthritis(OA) is a common condition that affects the surface of the joints. This can happen due to past injury to a joint, having had surgery on a joint or just due to a combination of time and use. OA is an active process and can often improve with the appropriate intervention.

There is often fear that exercise will make the damage worse so through education and addressing these fears and anxieties we can get you doing a safe exercise program.This may include giving home exercises or integrating you into group exercise classes such as Pilates or Hydrotherapy. Hydrotherapy, which is exercise in water can be very effective as it allows you to exercise with decreased loading through your joints so that you can move with more freedom and less pain.
